"On-the-job" injuries affect all types of people doing all types of work. Each year millions of workers are injured... at a cost to employers of over one hundred billion dollars annually.

Many of these workplace accidents involve the use of hand and power tools.

Because these tools make our work easier and allow us to be more efficient, their use is often taken for granted. However, there are a number of hazards involved in using both hand and power tools which can cause significant injuries (the use of screwdrivers alone causes tens of thousands of injuries each year).

In many cases employees are unaware of the types of accidents that are most commonly experienced using hand and power tools... as well as the safety practices that should be applied to avoid these accidents.
