To help employees use Laboratory Hoods correctly, this Course is designed to present fundamental information on this equipment, as well as how it works and when it is needed.

Upon completion of the Course, employees should:

• Know what types of protection Hoods are designed to provide.
• Recognize situations that call for the use of a Hood.
• Understand how Hoods work mechanically.
• Know how to test Hoods to make sure they are functioning correctly.
