A St. Albert company has been charged with five workplace safety violations - two years after an employee was seriously injured by a falling steel grate.
On March 26, 2004, a 35-year-old worker for Standard General Inc. was injured at his Edmonton work site when a 998-kilogram recycle bin grizzly fell on him. A grizzly is a steel grate that fits over the recycle bin to screen large chunks of concrete.
