Back related problems seems to be a huge issue. Here is a press release stating 1.2 million workers are affected in the UK alone. I don’t have a figure for the US handy, but extrapolating (the countries being similar in their industrialization)

• population UK about 60 million
• population US about 300 million

one would assume that the size of the problem in the US is 5 times that of UK, or about 6 million workers in the US are affected
with back related problems. That is a large figure!

Back Related Problems Effect 1.2 Million Workers per Year

It’s a fact, more than 1 million workers have back related problems in the UK, and that means many millions of working days are lost to business every year.
