Confined Space Entry Awareness

    (4-hr elective). This class covers the OSHA requirements 29CFR 1910.146 and 1926.21(6)(i) for confined space entry including: how to identify hazards, safety precautions, using protective equipment, performing air sampling and monitoring, using entry forms and emergency procedures.

OSHA 502 Construction Industry Trainer Update (24Hr)

    This course is designed for personnel in the private sector who have completed the 500 instructor course. It is designed to focus on recent changes to OSHA’s most common hazards and violations. OSHA’s 29 CFR 1926 Construction Industry Standard will be provided. Construction industry voluntary compliance outreach trainers are required to take this course every four years. If your card has expired, you must take the 500 course.

Playground Safety Inspector Certification Course and Exam Information

    According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, it is estimated that each year over 205,850 injuries occur on playgrounds and approximately fifteen children will die from playground related injuries. Sponsored by the National Recreation and Park Association this NPSI course is the most comprehensive training program on playground hazard identification and risk management methods offered anywhere. Advanced reading and fifteen
    hours of training from nationally known playground safety experts will prepare participants to sit for the Certified Playground Safety Inspector examination offered at the culmination of the certification course. Topics for the course include: Identifying hazards on playgrounds; Developing risk management tools; Importance of comprehensive playground safety program from a legal perspective; test methods for entrapments, protrusions, and
    entanglement.

OSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety Course for Workers

    The OSHA Construction Industry Safety Standard is a “Vertical” safety standard that applies to any employer with employees that perform work activities that include “construction, alteration, and/or repair, including painting and decorating.” This standard also applies to employers outside of “Building Trades.” This 10—Hour WorkSafeAZ safety course is intended to increase hazard awareness on a variety of Construction safety and health topics. Five and one—half hours are mandatory topics and two hours must be chosen from the optional topic list. For the remainder of the class, we can focus on any other Construction hazards or policies and/or expand on the required topics. Instructional time must be at least 10 hours. (Please see brochure for more details) The 10—hour program is intended for entry level workers.
