Kentucky switches to a Progressive Minimum Wage Increase
To reflect the scheduled progressive increases in the Federal Minimum Wage, the Kentucky Department of Labor has announced changes to the state’s Minimum Wages.
Although the effective dates for the progressive increases in Kentucky’s Minimum Wages precede the deadlines of the Federal schedule, the hourly rates will be at par with the Federal Minimum Wage.
- The current Kentucky minimum wage of $5.15 will increase to $5.85 effective June 26, 2007.
- Then on July 1, 2008, the minimum wage will increase from $5.85 to $6.55.
- Finally on July 1, 2009, the minimum wage will again increase from $6.55 to $7.25 effective July 1, 2009.
Due to these changes, shipment of KENTUCKY labor law posters is currently on HOLD.
